UPDATE: May 26, 2017 at 10:41 a.m.

Last fall we found out that mini avocados had hit grocery stores in the U.K. and Spain. (Ugh, why does Europe get all the cool stuff first?!) But now we can finally do a happy dance because one of your favorite supermarkets has them in stock nationwide: Trader Joe's.

That's right, the pint-size fruit comes in a 6-count bag and they're each smaller than a spoon. TJ's is aptly calling them "Teeny Tiny Avocados" and we can't wait to stock up our pantry with an armful of these babies. I mean, who doesn't want a snack-size avo with breakfast, lunch, and dinner?

We admit that the obsession with tiny food is bizarre, but show us a miniature version of just about anything edible, and we'll want to try it. Cucamelons and dwarf pineapples were like the gateway drug in the world of itty bitty produce, and when we heard about the latest addition, we practically lost it.

As if we weren't already obsessed with avocados (see: avocado ice cream), adorable baby avocados now exist, and we've got to get our hands on them. Marks & Spencer, the UK-based retail chain that began selling party-sized avocados earlier this year, started selling "babycados." They're grown outside Malaga in Spain, but seem to have made their way to avocado capital of America: California.

The Telegraph reports that the babies are half the size of a normal avocado and have a richer, sweeter, and creamier taste. Sure, we usually buy avocados by the bagful, but sometimes you just need a few slices to layer on a salad or top off a sandwich, and the mini variety are perfect for that—you'll never need to worry about half of it going brown in the fridge! Plus, if you're eating avocado in smaller doses, there's no need to bother with those silly, low-fat Slimcados.
