Growing up in the Northeast, I've been lucky enough to never experience a tornado IRL. However, I've seen the Wizard of Oz enough times to know that these giant vortexes of doom don't mess around. Case in point: an incredibly destructive tornado absolutely demolished a Starbucks in Kokomo, IN yesterday.
In the video above, you can see through the windows of a restaurant how the storm approaches the Starbucks building across the street and then literally flattens it. The strength of the winds from the tornado destroys the building as if it were blowing over a house of cards not an actual real-life made-from-brick structure.
While there have fortunately been no injuries, it was estimated that up to 30 cars were destroyed, eight apartment buildings lost their roofs, and thousands of people lost power as a result of this tornado.
Okay, yup, never leaving the house again.
