Starbucks has been cashing in on the summer drink craze over the last few weeks—first with a pink drink, then a purple drink, followed by orange, yellow, and blue versions that all blew up on Instagram. Now the coffee chain is debuting a totally new espresso drink that non-dairy drinkers are going to freak out about.

Beginning July 12, Starbucks will start serving the iced coconut milk mocha macchiato, the company's first espresso drink that features coconut milk as a base. But it will only be available at locations across the U.S. and Canada.

"Summer is a great time to highlight coconut milk. It's lighter in body than regular milk, and can be a little more refreshing," Christal Canzler, Starbucks' senior product developer, said in a press release.

The warm-weather drink is made by pouring espresso shots over chilled coconut milk with white chocolate mocha sauce shaken into it. The finishing touch is caramel drizzled in a crosshatch pattern—plus a swirl of mocha sauce.

For customers who need dairy-free options, this concoction is exciting; however, Consumerist makes a very smart point: The white chocolate and mocha sauces do contain milk-based ingredients. So maybe hold all that extra sugar and focus on the coconut-espresso combo.
