Pizza Hut-Stuffed S'mores Into Its Giant-Size Cookies

The national slice shop that already serves chocolate chip cookies the size of your face wants to give you summer vibes with its latest dessert: the Hershey's Toasted S'mores Cookie. Available for a limited time beginning today, the new treat is just as enormous as its cookie predecessors—probably because it's loaded with chocolate chips, toasted mini marshmallows, Hershey's bar chunks, and graham cracker pieces. The newbie will set you back $6.99 and is available for dine-in, take-out, and delivery.

Burger King Now Serving Syrup-Filled Ice Cream Cones

We see what you did there, BK. After the wild success of Ben and Jerry's core series, Dairy Queen got in on the loaded center game with its Royal Blizzards. Now Burger King is copying both of them but swapping the cup for a cone. The chain's newest addition is a syrup-filled ice cream cone that comes in either chocolate or dulce de leche (caramel). The trouble is, Brand Eating reports that the heavenly-sounding soft serve is only available in Spain (for about $1) right now. Sigh.

French Press Coffee Is Worse For You Than Drip Coffee

According to a report from Harvard Medical School, coffee that's been pressed but not filtered like a standard drip could raise your cholesterol. This is because without a filter, the oily substances from coffee beans (a.k.a diterpenes) make their way to your cup. Some people say this makes their java taste better, but diterpenes can also have negative effects on your health. "Five to eight cups a day of unfiltered coffee may actually raise your 'bad' LDL cholesterol," says Dr. Eric Rimm, a professor of epidemiology and nutrition at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. So what can you do about it? Rimm recommends sticking to four cups or less every day. If you're drinking filtered, don't have more than five cups. And either way, watch your LDL levels closely.

Your Sushi Bar Is Hiding Some Dirty Secrets

If you've never been for sushi, you probably won't want to start now that First We Feast has taken a deep dive into the little-known facts that sushi restaurants keep hush-hush. After speaking with John Daley of New York Sushi Ko, the food and pop culture site found out that inside-out rolls were created to fill customers up faster (since there's more rice), spicy tuna was designed to mask the flavor of rotting fish, hamachi collar is the fish typically tossed in the trash, tartare is sushi scraps, "white tuna" is really cheap escolar fish and not tuna at all, and even more scary stuff. There are some helpful tidbits, like the one where Daley suggests you avoid eating at sushi bars on Sunday night and Monday around lunchtime, which is when the fish has been sitting since delivery on Tuesday or Friday. Can't say we're craving sashimi today. Maybe we should stick to the California roll.

Instagram is losing its mind over coffee in a cone

Remember that time the internet lost its mind at Easter after someone thought to brew espresso directly into a Cadbury egg? Well it seems we aren't done with pouring coffee into edible vessels just yet. In South Africa, a coffee shop is filling chocolate-lined ice cream cones with lattes and cappuccinos. According to its creator, Dayne Levinrad, people love ice cream, coffee, and chocolate, so he decided to serve all three at once. The madcap concept has been around since January but is gaining steam online now, with more than a million images tagged #coffeeinacone on Instagram alone, CNN reports. But don't go trying to craft your own at home—standard waffle and sugar cones will dissolve. Levinrad has had to develop his own wafer cones lined with a thick layer of chocolate. So, um, see you in South Africa?
