Rachel Dratch, the powerhouse actress-comedienne who's starred alongside funny besties Amy Poehler and Tina Fey on Saturday Night Live, Parks and Recreation and 30 Rock—plus blockbuster flicks like Sisters—is completely unafraid of being honest.

In the kitchen, she's kind of a hot mess. As she stands in front of 100 journalists, arms elbow-deep in fried chicken batter during a recent media event for KFC, she admits to never having done a cooking demo before. Yet, like most of us, she loves to eat. Like madly, deeply, whole-heartedly loves it.

So without a burning passion for being in the kitchen, what does she do? Subsist on store-bought pizza and subpar homemade pasta? Nah, Dratch does what any sensible, grub-loving person would: She orders takeout.

She hates wasting time in front of the stove as much as you do.

"Every once in a while I manage to cook at home, but it never quite comes out right," she says. "Like one time I went to the Asian market to get all the ingredients to make Thai curry. It came out okay, but it took me so long. And it wasn't as great as if I had pressed a button and ordered it."

Ah, the constant struggle between getting behind the burners and hitting "place my order" on Seamless. We feel you, Rachel.

Her grocery game could use some work.

"I mean sometimes I'm ambitious and I buy broccoli and avocado ... but then it typically rots in the fridge. And that's my week!" she laughs.

She makes a damn good breakfast.

Though she admits to plenty of screw-ups, there is one thing Dratch credits herself with: "I can make awesome pancakes. But then again I guess maybe everyone makes good pancakes," she says. "It's an easy one."

She was borderline obsessed with KFC mashed potatoes as a kid.

"My mom would never make mashed potatoes so when I had them at KFC I was like 'What is this delicacy?!'"

Surprisingly, you won't find her doing any funny business in the kitchen.

"I was just home and my dad, I found out, was eating eggs with peanut butter on them. He was like 'It's great protein!'" she says. "But no, I don't do anything like that. Ugh."
