In the spring we got wind of a new series of Chipotle restaurants that would not be serving Mexican food. At first we teared up a bit, but then we learned that the company is branching out with a totally new chain that serves up burgers.

Well now news has broken that it will officially be called Tasty Made—and it will debut this fall in Lancaster, OH of all places. The menu will include "food with integrity" just like its burrito-rolling cousin, but the restaurant will instead specialize in burgers, fries, and milkshakes. Plus, it's got a very retro logo going on:

According to a press release, "Tasty Made will use responsibly raised brand beef (from animals that are raised in more humane ways and without the use of antibiotics or added hormones), shakes made with real ingredients including milk, cream, sugar, eggs and other natural ingredients, and fresh-made buns that are free of preservatives, dough conditioners and other artificial ingredients."

Founder Steve Ells chimed in: "We think there's great strength in that original fast food model and wanted to create a restaurant built around that. Making only burgers, fries and shakes with really great ingredients, we think we can appeal to peoples' timeless love of burgers."

In other words, expect the same quality goods as Chipotle, just with a very Americana vibe.

For almost 15 years, Chipotle has blessed us with burrito-y goodness on a weekly (okay, fine daily) basis―until that whole outbreak thing. According to a spokesperson, your favorite Mexican chain is going to start making the second most amazing food known to man: burgers.

According to USA Today, the brand announced on Wednesday that Chipotle will be opening a sister store, called Better Burger, that specializes in ... well, you get it.

"We have two non-Chipotle growth seeds open now ― ShopHouse and Pizzeria Locale ― and have noted before that the Chipotle model could be applied to a wide variety of foods," said Chris Arnold, a Chipotle spokesman.

This new venture opens up a world of possibilities. Maybe Better Burger will have the same build-your-own model as Chipotle, so we can get crafty with our burgers. Or maybe it will be a Mexican food/burger joint mashup and we'll be able to get Chipotle's famous guac on a juicy patty and a warm bun!

Sadly, there's no word yet on when the new restaurants will open, so for now we'll just have to stick to an all-burrito diet.
