We recently learned that seltzer can damage your teeth just like soda but, to be honest, that's not stopping us from indulging in our favorite bubbly beverage. Among popular seltzer brands, Polar has an almost-religious following of fans who anxiously await new flavors, and they're flipping out over the latest release.

The New England brand recently announced that after 130 years in business, they're making some changes and releasing a new UNICORN KISSES flavor to mark the occasion. A press release reveals the "true" origin of the seltzer recipe: "Polar Seltzer was first created in a deal struck between a nature-loving humanitarian and a sad unicorn. Their chance encounter has forever sealed the fate of thirsty consumers everywhere. Rainbows were exchanged for sparkle in an all equity deal." Hmm...with the promise of a new logo reveal on April 1, we think we smell an April Fools' Day prank in the making.

The whimsical flavor is no joke, however. It's available in "select grocery stores and specialty shops," and plenty of people have posted excitedly about their finds on Instagram, raving that it tastes like starfruit, bubblegum, melon, cotton candy, Jolly Ranchers and even "sparkling rainbows."

Like the magical creatures it's named after, bottles of the limited edition seltzer are hard to find, but one Twitter user shared a list of locations that she received from Polar in pursuit of the new flavor:

The list shows several spots near Boston, but a brand manager has confirmed that "Unicorn Kisses" is available at Stop & Shop, Fairway Market, Shop Rite and more shops in New York and beyond.

The flavor is only available for a limited time, and those lucky enough to have found it already seem to have snatched up several bottles. Look for the colorful label and new unicorn-bear hybrid logo and sip it while you nibble on Unicorn Bark. Or, if you can't manage to track it down, you can always drown your sorrows with some spiked seltzer.
