The cult-favorite Stanley cup has not only survived a car fire, but still prevails as one of the hottest items to hit shelves. Following the launch of new limited-edition Valentine's Day Stanley tumblers at Target, rumors have swirled about a Starbucks Stanley cup launching today. Here's what you need to know.
Several TikTokers who appear to be Starbucks baristas have posted videos about the launch and what customers need to know if they want to try to score one. The pink tumblers, according to the videos, are launching today exclusively at Starbucks located within Target stores for a price of $49.95. The latest tumblers look almost identical to the red Starbucks Stanley cups launched back in November, except these are pink.
The Valentine's Day Stanley tumblers caused chaos at some locations when customers rushed the shelves to get them. And shortly after the Starbucks Stanley cups launched, mayhem broke out at some Starbucks locations inside Targets—one customer even reportedly jumped over the counter and stole some. It's fair to say that Stanley mania has reached peak levels this week.
In a TikTok, Starbucks barista @peachiemariam said that their Starbucks location would be keeping the Stanleys behind the counter and customers would be limited to the purchase of just one cup per person. Compared to the Target Valentine's Day tumblers that were limited to two cups per customer, this limited edition Starbucks launch is even more exclusive.
Wondering if a barista can reserve one for you? Good luck. Barista @izzi.faas said in a TikTok that "it's very unlikely," and that their store only has 16 of the cups.
"These Stanleys are extremely high demand. Please do not be rude to us baristas if they are sold out," said Izzi. "They are most likely gonna be sold out on launch day at most locations."
