Your breakfast, lunch, and dinner options on March 8 just got a lot simpler. To celebrate National Pancake Day, IHOP restaurants nationwide are dishing out free pancakes all day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
To cash on your free hot cakes, hit your local International House of Pancakes and ask for a short stack of buttermilk pancakes (sorry, red velvet isn't part of the promo) and they'll be on the house. The only thing IHOP asks in return is that you leave behind an optional donation to local charities like Children's Miracle Network Hospital, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and Shriners Hospital for Children.
This is the 11th year in a row that IHOP has hosted a free pancake day in March for both the food holiday and its charitable endeavors. In the last decade, IHOP has raised $20 million for those charities, according to a press release.
Whether you decide to donate or not is up to you, but either way the free meal is even better than the brand's birthday discount. And if you miss out this time around, don't feel too bad: The company is notorious for shelling out free flapjacks (or at least buy one, get one offers) pretty often, like its über popular Valentine's Day deal.
