Already a rival for McDonald's in the all-day breakfast category, coffee-slinging Dunkin' Donuts is now taking on the likes of Taco Bell with its latest breakfast menu item, the GranDDe (see what they did there?) Breakfast Burrito.
Debuting on Dunks menus this morning, the 10-ounce burrito includes a spicy omelet loaded with jalapeños, red bell peppers, and pepper-jack cheese; plus rice, beans, corn, fire-roasted peppers, and onions—all wrapped into a flour tortilla. You can also add sausage if you'd like. Both the meat and veggie versions will go for about $3.99.
Boston.com reports that the chain is also launching a strawberry-shortcake croissant donut with strawberry buttercream filling and a drizzle of strawberry and white icings. And, as if that weren't enough, DD is also pouring a new pistachio-flavored coffee for both drip and espresso drinks like macchiatos.
