Lucky enough to have a highly-coveted ticket to the Super Bowl but not lucky enough to also have a place to rest between beer and buffalo wing induced comas? Oscar Mayer has a hot dog an interesting proposition for you. According to a press release, in response to the scarcity of rooms in San Fran for the Big Game weekend, the hot dog brand is turning it's famous Wienermobile into a quirky lodging solution for a lucky group of fans.
The Weinermobile itself functions as a living room/ attention grabbing (to say the least) vehicle so you can relax and check out the city in style. The actual living quarters are located in the Wienie-Bago, a tricked out hot dog themed RV that comes stocked with everything a football fan needs to have a crazy all-American weekend, and lots of Oscar Mayer swag of course.
This hot dog comes with all the fixings including a two night stay, a cash stipend for spending (free money and food!?) airport transportation and car service using the Weinermobile, and all the amenities you need.
So how can you live out the ultimate American Dream of living in a hot dog? Oscar Mayer is auctioning off the weekend experience and you can place a bid from Tuesday January 26th through Sunday, January 31st. If you win not only do you get the right to brag about the time you stayed in a hot dog in San Francisco for the Super Bowl but you also help out a great cause. All proceeds from the bid will go to Stop Hunger Now and Oscar Mayer will match the winning bid up to $10,000. So really, it's a win-win.
We understand this might be the ultimate way to get into the spirit of the game but if you don't find yourself in the Wienermobile come Super Bowl weekend, it's going to be ok. You can still have a kick-ass party by building a shows-topping snack stadium or making one of our totally yum wing recipes (they'll be a hit, we promise).
