The highlight of any meal at Olive Garden is when your server breaks out the cheese grater and piles on as much Parmesan as your plate can handle. And now, you can take this cheesy experience home, according to TikTok. Yes, you can buy their beloved cheese graters at the restaurant.
In a video stitched by @jordan_the_stallion8, he tested out the claim by waking up at the crack of dawn to see if he could in fact purchase a cheese grater from his local Olive Garden.
"I was 95.7% sure that that was not gonna work. Come here. I got to the Olive Garden. I went to the manager, all I said was 'cheese grater.' And she looked at me and said 'Give me one minute.' They sold me the cheese grater. Not only that, they gave me cheese to try out," he revealed.
Not only did commenters confirm that you can buy cheese graters at Olive Garden, they shared that you can buy just about anything you see at the restaurant.
"So I just learned that Olive Garden will sell you anything that is not bolted down, cheese graters, syrups, etc.," said one user.
According to one former Olive Garden employee, they've even seen a customer purchase a painting off the wall. "Everything there as a price. One of my managers sold a painting off the wall once," they said.
Although @jordan_the_stallion8 didn't reveal the price of the cheese grater, several people have added that it costs $15 at Olive Garden. You can get a similar cheese grater for far cheaper elsewhere.
"They got em at Walmart for $8. No free cheese though," one TikToker shared.
Regardless of the price of the cheese grater, we're not entirely confident that we can handle the responsibility of telling ourselves "when to stop."
We reached out to Olive Garden, and a spokesperson emailed us, saying, “The iconic Olive Garden cheese grater and our ‘Say When’ philosophy when grating fresh parmesan over our craveable Italian food is just one way we deliver on the never-ending abundance our guests love. The ability to purchase the chase grater varies by restaurant and availability.”
