A video showing a Waffle House employee dipping her hair in a pot of boiling water — a pot the restaurant apparently uses to prepare food — emerged on Facebook, and now Waffle House is saying two of its staffers have been fired as a result, the Associated Press reports.

Two customers at a Waffle House in Forrest City, Arkansas, which is about 90 miles east of Little Rock, reportedly shot the video on their phones last week after one of them discovered a hair in his food. One of the customers was "pulling out strings of hair" from his mouth, Antonio Robinson told WREG in Memphis about his friend who found the hair.

Waffle House said in a statement that the two people in the video were fired and the local health department carried out an inspection, which the restaurant passed. "We do not tolerate these behaviors and strive to provide a clean, safe environment for all our customers," the company said.
