This has been an exciting year for Chip and Joanna Gaines—from the new season of Fixer Upper to the opening of Magnolia Market at the Silos, it seems like they surprise us with a new project every week. Right on the heels of the October opening of Magnolia Market's new storefront, Joanna took to Instagram to announce what's next for her business: A bakery!
Appropriately, what the HGTV star said about this exciting new venture is too sweet:
We confess this isn't the first time we caught wind of Magnolia Flour. A few weeks ago, we noticed a new section on the magnoliamarket.com website for the bakery. And when Country Living visited the Silos last month, they spotted its future location, a not-yet-rehabbed white brick building on a corner of the property, just beyond the silos. It held a banner that promises "something sweet" coming in 2016, and now we can see why. Of course, now that Joanna has confirmed the rumor, we can't get over how touching her announcement is.
This exciting new addition to Magnolia Market at the Silos fits into the Gaines' vision for the space perfectly. They want the market to be about more than just shopping; they want it to be a place for people to come and spend the day. Magnolia Flour will join the retail store, food truck park, and garden as the newest destination for visitors to enjoy. It's also not surprising, as Joanna has a penchant for baking her problems away (#bakingismytherapy, she claims).
Joanna says she's always dreamed of opening a bakery, which is good considering our new dream is to head to Waco to taste one of her delicious pastries.
