Taylor Swift is settling into WAG life rather effortlessly. The Eras Tour performer was spotted grabbing dinner in NYC this weekend alongside Brittany Mahomes and a crew of A-list pals.
Now, if your only knowledge of the Kansas City Chiefs begins and ends with it being Taylor Swift's maybe-boyfriend's football team, then let me tell you why this all matters: Brittany Mahomes is the wife of Chiefs quarterback (and Travis Kelce's teammate-slash-good pal), Patrick Mahomes.
Ahead of Sunday's game against the New York Jets, Swift and Mahomes were photographed heading to dinner at the popular celeb haunt Emilio's Ballato in Soho. Blake Lively, Sophie Turner, and more pals joined in for the girls night. According to sources, the new friendship sprouted just last week after Swift and Mahomes bonded during Kelce's post-game party in Kansas City, where they were caught downing shots to celebrate the Chiefs win, Page Six reports.
Travis Kelce, meanwhile, arrived in New Jersey with the team early Saturday before heading into the city for dinner plans of his own near NYC's Meatpacking District. The tight end grabbed a meal at Meduza Mediterrania with pals, according to eyewitnesses, and then maybeeeeee slept at Taylor's. Following their respective nights out, Kelce was caught leaving Swift's NYC apartment around 11 a.m. Sunday morning, just hours before the rumored couple arrived separately at MetLife Stadium.
Taylor cheered on Kelce for the second week in a row. This time, alongside celeb friends Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and her new bestie-slash-ex's ex wife (this remains iconic) Sophie Turner. According to a source who spoke with PEOPLE, it's still "super, super early days" for the budding relationship but they're "having fun."
Kelce briefly commented on the relationship during his New Heights podcast last week, days after Swift popped up at Arrowhead.
"Shoutout to Taylor for pulling up, that was pretty ballsy!" he said on Wednesday's episode. "I just thought it was awesome how everybody in the suite had nothing but great things to say about her, the friends and family. She looked amazing. Everyone was talking about her in great light."
