Employees at fast food chains have it rough. If the company messes up, it's the workers who often take the heat for it. Between getting stiffed on tips and forced to work unbearably long shifts, keeping up faces, while also satisfying customers, is no easy feat. And sometimes, they just can't take it anymore.

Such was the case during a recent incident at a Tim Horton's in Michigan. ABC 13 reports that after an employee refused to throw a customer's old coffee away, the customer angrily responded by pulling out of the drive-thru without taking his purchase. Unfortunately for him, before he had the chance to completely drive away, another employee was already attacking his car with hot coffee.

In a moment of poetic justice, the customer responded by chucking the old coffee Tim Horton's wouldn't throw away at the drive-thru window. He was then immediately met with a barrage of donut holes, or, as Tim Horton's calls them, Timbits. Just like a good old fashioned cafeteria food fight.

However, according to the customer's attorney, the battle is far from over. While all that cup throwing hoopla was going down, the employees were reportedly shouting racial slurs at the customer. And even though a security video clearly shows the customer participating in the violent altercation, his attorney is pushing for the worker to be charged with a "felonious assault".

Tim Horton representatives have addressed the situation stating, "The franchisee has taken the appropriate steps to address the matter," adding that, "guest safety is of paramount concern to Tim Horton's." Perhaps Tim Horton's should consider hiring some more friendly drive-thru employees, like that dancing Starbucks barista for example.
