Things are heating up at McDonald's this month thanks to the return of a fiery fan favorite. According to an Instagram post from @Snackolator, an account covering food, the fast food giant is bringing back its Spicy Chicken McNuggets for a limited time. The news was also confirmed on the McDonald's website.
"Spicy McNuggets are BACK at McDonald's for a limited time! These have been out a few times now, but they're making another triumphant return which is great because they're the GOAT of the McNugget kingdom! They have a nice level of spice that certainly isn't going to burn your mouth, but is clearly superior to normal McNuggets" read @Snackolator's Instagram caption.
Quite the elusive menu item, the spicy nuggets are described as being "breaded in a crispy coating, flavorfully spiced with a blend of aged cayenne and chili pepper."
As news about the Spicy McNuggets' return spread on social media, people have been getting hyped. For many nugget lovers, their prayers have quite literally been answered.
"Spicy chicken mcnuggets are back GOD IS REAL," one user declared on X (formerly Twitter).
"McDonald’s has spicy nuggets again, my day has improved vastly," another person added.
Some people are a little upset that this recent Spicy McNugget rollout is without McDonald's Mighty Hot Sauce. In the past, the peppery sauce accompanied the nuggets.
"@McDonalds why would you taunt me and bring back Spicy McNuggets without bringing back the Mighty Hot Sauce? I need my fix," one person tweeted.
The Spicy Chicken McNuggets will only be available at participating locations, so now might be a good time to keep your fingers crossed.
