The Brits are really getting into the holiday spirit this year. Not long after the country boasted a nativity scene crafted entirely from cheese comes this kitschy Christmas sweater that's 100 percent edible.

Made over 50 hours by expert baker Juliet Sear, the "ugly Christmas sweater" is decorated with snowflakes, marzipan ric-rac "ribbon," edible silver gems, and a giant Rudolph face. The Daily Mail reports that the sweet number required more than 22 pounds of icing, 11 pounds of marzipan, and over 2 pounds of chocolate to make from scratch.

Sear is the founder of a bakery in Essex, England called Fancy Nancy bakery. This project was a partnership with U.K. baking brand Dr. Oetker. 'Nothing excites me more than an edible challenge," she says on her website

As delish as it looks, we're not sure it's very comfortable. (It doesn't look like that model can move very much.) Watch a time-lapse video to see how Sear put the whole thing together, but we wouldn't recommend trying to do this at home. You might end up with melted marzipan all over you and your kitchen.
