Just a couple weeks ago, Starbucks released its highly anticipated red holiday cups. Normally bedazzled with snowflakes and other wintertime ephemera, this year's rendition is decidedly simpler than previous incarnations. The subtle ombré tone was just supposed to please basics around the world. Instead, it's enraged conservative customers who believe that Starbucks is trying to take the Christ out of Christmas, and they've retaliated by calling out this supposed "War on Christmas" with the ironic and angry #MerryChristmasStarbucks movement.
Thankfully, the internet still has a sense of humor. The hashtag #ItsJustaCup was born as a response to the haters and you better believe celebrities and comedians are taking advantage of it—ranging from laugh-out-loud funny to glaringly obvious to downright absurd.
