Season 14 of The Real Housewives of New York City kicked off last month with an entirely new lineup of Manhattanites. The group includes Erin Dana Lichy, Ubah Hassan, Sai de Silva, Jenna Lyons, Brynn Whitfield, and Jessel Taank, and they waisted no time starting drama.

By episode one, the women were divided—there were those who accepted Erin Lichy's controversial dinner reservation, and those who opted for dinner at Casa Cipriani instead. The reason why de Silva and Whitfield skipped the group dinner had nothing to do with existing drama and everything to do with the restaurant Lichy chose.

So...what exactly drove the restaurant drama?

As Brynn herself put it: "I didn't know how to say that I wouldn't be caught dead at [bleep] ... I'm not a D-list model." She even went as far to say that Olive Garden is "chicer" than Lichy's dining choice. "The breadsticks? They slap!"

de Silva agreed, calling the restaurant "so 2006."

Meanwhile, Erin defended her choice to a fellow castmate, claiming, "it was a huge group, nothing was available. And it was last minute, so I picked [bleep]."

What were fans speculating?

RHONY fans quickly took to Reddit to discuss what controversial restaurant the girlies could have possibly been talking about. "Rumor has it, it is either Catch or Hearth," one user wrote. "All indications point to Catch," another noted.

"The funny thing is this mystery is bringing Catch so much publicity, it’s likely to become an 'It' place again!" a third Reddit user chimed in.

So what restaurant was it?

While appearing on Sirius XM's "Jeff Lewis Live" show, Erin Lichy finally revealed the mystery restaurant's identity. And lo and behold, it was the buzzy meatpacking haunt, Catch.

"Catch was available," she told Lewis. "I didn’t know anything, like, I didn’t know that they were not going to come."

For his part, Lewis defended Lichy's reservation choice, telling his guest, "We have Catch and we have Catch Steak in LA. Both are newer, so they're popular ... but, see, I think they started in New York and I know these restaurants have a shelf-life."

Former Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel defended the restaurant too. "I am here to say that Catch restaurant has great sushi, great steak, great disco dining. I would go to Catch right now."

Maybe Lichy will take her?

Has the controversy hurt Catch's business?

Certainly doesn't look like it. According to Page Six, sources claim that the RHONY drama "appears to not be affecting" the restaurant and that "celebrities continue to be seen there."

In fact, LeBron James and Dr. Dre were spotted dining there just recently, as were Real Housewives of Orange County stars Heather and Terry Dubrow, who eat there "all the time."
