Earlier this month, Joanna Gaines teamed up with internet-famous tumbler brand Stanley to release an entire Hearth & Hand with Magnolia collection available exclusively at Target. But here's the thing: even if you manage to track down the viral cup at your local Target, you still have to shell out $45 for it.
This isn't a Stanley cup hate post! The opposite, in fact. But considering the fact that I already have an earlier iteration of the 40-ounce tumbler, I'm not about to buy another—no matter how much I want to. It's as if Aldi planned for this exact mentality, though, because the budget-friendly grocery store is releasing its own version that looks like it's straight out of the Magnolia collection.
The all-new Crofton 40-ounce Thirst Crusher Tumbler is only $10 and will be available in four Hearth & Hand-esque colors: charcoal, blue, flint gray, and cream. The Aldi dupe is hitting stores nationwide on August 30, and while it might not have quite the same internet clout (yet) as its Stanley Cup counterpart, we'd venture to guess it'll easily sell out too.
According to Mashed, the new Crofton Tumbler has been a long time in the making. Fans have reportedly begged for an Aldi version. Members of the Aldi Aisle of Shame Facebook community also praised an earlier version of the product, calling it "1000000% spill proof" and well-insulated.
Aldi isn't, however, the only brand to sell a Stanley Cup dupe. Simple Modern's own $30 Trek Tumbler has become a cult-favorite in its own right; as has the Owala Tumbler. Though, to be fair, neither can compete with Aldi's low price.
Of course, if you want to stay loyal to Stanley, the Hearth & Hand with Magnolia collection cup is available in Sour Cream, Basic Brown, Serene Green, Navy Voyage, Twilight Taupe, and Peat Moss colors. Grab 'em while you still can.
