There's something inherently nostalgic about food. Biting into a burgers hooded in melted cheese are quintessential Americana while slicing an apple pie can be reminiscent of your grandmother. Then there are those classic commercials—for products like Crystal Pepsi—that you come across while watching an old TV recording and suddenly your entire childhood flashes in front of you.
Turning time back even farther, this collection of 1970s fast-food commercials features Jack in the Box (where a trio of tacos were on sale for 89 cents!), Subway, Hardee's, Popeye's (hawking 69-cent sodas and free comic-strip glasses), Taco Bell, Burger King (boasting "the best darn burger and a whole lot more"), Wendy's (which awkwardly repeats the phrase "hot and juicy" over and and over.) Take a look at the old-timey logos, hilarious acting, and kitschy jingles. Honestly, we still find it hard to believe these chains have been around since the '70s.
