A few weeks ago, Pizza Rat blew up the internet and nothing has been the same since. Something about its struggle for a greasy, cheesy slice of pie was just too relatable. And after loads of spinoffs—including this Tiny Hamster Halloween costume—one fact is clear: While the internet certainly can't ever get enough of animals eating food, Pizza Rat is king. But, it turns out, there may be a new rodent in town looking to take the crown.

Introducing Pizza Raccoon: spotted in Central Park by the good folks at West Side Rag, this fella has some serious star potential. After reportedly fishing a cheese slice out of the trash can, this hero climbed up a tree where it was able to enjoy the meal to its full potential. Pizza Rat couldn't even get his dinner down the stairs. Try harder.

In addition to Pizza Raccoon's superior intelligence and strength, it is also undeniably cuter than a grimy, disease-ridden subway rat. These are just the facts people. Of course, if you don't agree, Spaghetti Rat is a pretty adorable counterpoint. But we still love this raccoon more, even if he might not love us back.
