After McDonald's was criticized by breakfast chain's like Denny's for joining the all-day breakfast game so late, it seems Burger King is even slower to hop on the bandwagon. According to Consumerist, one reader spotted a marquee at a BK location in New Jersey that boasted "now serving breakfast all day."

Is this a jab at the Golden Arches? Revenge for not accepting its offer to create the McWhopper? Or is Burger King really copying McDonald's—and the rest of the all-day breakfast clan?

In Garwood, NJ, positioned directly across from a McDonald's location, this outpost does in fact serve its breakfast menu at all hours. But after reaching out to the burger-flipping company, Consumerist confirms that this is unfortunately not a nationwide initiative. Instead, it's a local decision by the franchisee to duke it out with the competitor across the street. So while you can't expect to find hash browns 24/7 at every Burger King location, it's possible that those positioned nearby their arch enemy will be on board.
