It's easy to feel that pang of guilt the second you hear that Sunday is World Food Day—you want to help, but maybe you don't have the time to volunteer, or you don't have the money to make a big donation. But still, knowing that 1 in 9 people are chronically hungry around the world—and that nearly 5 million children die each year from malnourishment, according to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization—you don't want this day to pass you by without doing something.

Here are the easiest ways to make a difference right now; changes that are so small they don't have to dramatically interrupt your daily routine. And, if you can spare a little more time (or money) and want to do more, Feeding America can help you find your nearest food bank and provides ways to donate.

1. Tweet This

Knorr U.S. has teamed up with food stylists and photographers to create real-life food emojis. All you have to do is tweet a food emoji with the hashtag #shareameal between Oct. 13-20, and Knorr will respond with a "real-moji" and a link to make a $5 donation to the Global Foodbanking Network. Knorr will also be donating 220,000 meals to Feeding America on World Food Day, October 16.

2. Check Your Groceries for This

Scan your pantry for any Healthy Choice, P.F Chang's, Peter Pan, Reddi Wip, Orville Redenbachers, Pam, Hunt's or other ConAgra Foods products (you should see the company's name mentioned in fine print on the label). Look for an 8-digit code on the back of the package—it'll be marked with a red pushpin logo—and enter it on ChildHungerEndsHere.com. For every code entered, ConAgra Foods will donate a meal to a kid in need.

3. Order This

From now until December 31, 2016, when you order a slice of the featured cheesecake at Cheesecake Factory, the company will donate 25 cents to Feeding America.

4. Click This

When you click the yellow 'Click to Give Food' button at the top of The Hunger Site, the company's advertisers will donate 1/4 cup of food to people in need, which adds up to more than 2 million cups donated each month.

5. Chew on This

For every pack of Project 7 gum labeled "Feed the Hungry" that you buy (like the Peppermint Vanilla flavor), the brand donates a meal to someone in the U.S.

6. Snap a Photo Like This

Upload a photo to WatchHungerStop.com, click and drag a 'digital tee' onto your selfie, post it, and Michael Kors will donate 50 meals to children in need. Michael Kors has also incorporated their fitness tracker and watch into the campaign, donating 100 meals to the World Food Programme with the purchase of either. And if wrist wear isn't your thing, Kors has created a snapchat geotag that is available in the storefronts here in the US, Canada, or the UK. When you take a snap using the filter, Kors will donate 25 meals to WFP.

7. Sign This

Oxfam America has created a form letter you can fill out to ask Congress to pass the Global Food Security Act of 2015, which focuses on boosting agricultural growth, funding university research and improving women and children's nutrition on a global scale. You can find the form here.

8. Play This

Put down Dots and Candy Crush and spend a few minutes on FreeRice.com. The vocab games don't just keep your mind sharp; for each answer you get right, the company's advertisers donate 10 grains of rice to the World Food Programme.
