Chipotle continues to come out on top when it comes to customer obsession and satisfaction. The burrito spot happily lets us hack our burritos until their twice the original size, hands out free burritos for playing a game, and has even entered the delivery game. But its fatal flaw is the inevitable, the dreaded long line that stands between you and your carnitas tacos. In an attempt to alleviate its worst trait, the Tex-Mex chain just poached an executive from Starbucks.

On November 23, Curt Garner—who spent more than 18 years working on the Starbucks app—will become Chipotle's first chief information officer. That means he'll be in charge of "improving customer experience," namely cutting the time spent in line. In an official release, the company said Garner aims to make the company's 1,738 restaurants more efficient.

But it seems this acquisition in information technology will also serve the company's mobile app, which currently allows customers to order food for pick-up. However Chipotle has made comments about investing in mobile ordering and payment functions. We assume that's where Garner will step in. According to the New York Post, Berstein analyst Sara Senatore says Starbuck's mobile app is "second to none" because it reports wait times at nearby stores in addition to letting customers place orders.

We're all for acknowledging room for improvement. Because anytime we're stuck in line and not stuffing our faces with extra guac is time wasted.
