In the amount of time it takes you to choose an Instagram filter (and the appropriately witty hashtag), you could feed 50 kids around the world—and it won't cost you a thing. Fashion brand Michael Kors will be footing the bill, provided that you create—and post a photo of yourself wearing—a "digital t-shirt."

It's a new twist on the company's annual Watch Hunger Stop campaign, and as in years past, Michael Kors is releasing a limited edition watch that retails for $295, with about $25—the equivalent of 100 meals, according to the brand—going to the United Nations World Food Programme. The customized shirts, however, aren't for sale. It's a totally free digital campaign: You simply log on to WatchHungerStop.com, answer the sentence "Today I want to __________," upload or take a photo of yourself, and the brand creates a Watch Hunger Stop shirt with your message on it, which you can then click and drag over your photo to make it look like you're wearing it.

Once you've posted a photo to the site's gallery, Michael Kors will donate $12.50 in your honor, or roughly the equivalent of 50 meals. Though it's a little gimmicky, and you may feel cheesy posing in a fake tee, the results are worth a potentially awkward photo—Michael Kors plans on donating up to 1 million meals during the month of October through this campaign. To put that in perspective, the World Food Programme reports that poor nutrition causes nearly half of the deaths in children under 5 years old.

That's 3.1 million children dying each year, all because they can't get the food and nutrients they need.

This campaign is just one small way you can help. For other ideas—or to donate to the World Food Programme directly—visit WFP.org. If you're interested in finding ways to help combat hunger in your neighborhood, you can also use Feeding America's Food Bank Locator.
