Everyone loves a good food emoji. Whether you're ordering Dominos with the pizza slice or anxiously awaiting the arrival the beloved taco and avocado, you probably spend more time thinking about digital food than actually cooking in the kitchen. And if these tasty icons were the real deal, you'd probably start eating them ASAP.
It turns out, cooking up emoji cuisine IRL is actually something you can totally do, and it's not as hard as you'd think. According to this handy ChefSteps tutorial, getting that perfectly cooked fried egg that looks just like the illustration (🍳) is super simple. All it takes is some butter, a non-stick pan, and a little patience.
First, coat your pan with a light layer of butter and delicately crack the egg into the center of the pan. Then let it cook on low heat for 4 to 5 minutes, or until the whites bubble at the edges. Voila! You've got one egg-cellent–looking breakfast that's more than worthy of Instagram. 😍

Bonus: This slower cooking method gives you plenty of time to prepare the rest of your meal. You know, like sausage-breakfast casserole, avocado toast, or the best BLT ever topped with your beautiful, cartoony egg.
