If you remember your childhood correctly, you know that cereal is unequivocally THE BEST. There's no better feeling than waking up in the morning to a bowl of milk and sugar. And, with so many varieties, there's a flavor for every different personality. Hell, Americans love it so much we've even started turning cereal into beer. But while we've been on the crazy train with the breakfast treat for a while (just look at these kick-ass cereal popsicles), it was only a matter of time before someone took the obsession to an entirely new level.
That's where Kith comes in. The high-end Brooklyn sneaker shop just re-opened with a fully functioning cereal bar. Yes, it's as amazing as it sounds.
According to the New York Times, owner Ronnie Fieg developed the concept because he was never allowed to indulge in sweet cereals as a teenager. So basically he's making up (or maybe over-compensating?) for lost time. We'd say with 24 different cereal flavors, 25 toppings (cotton candy, cheesecake bites, Twix bars), and five choices of milk (whole, skim, almond, hemp, chocolate), Fieg has definitely gone above and beyond the call of duty. He's even created cereal-flavored soft-serve ice cream, and specialty creations like the Sylvester—a combo of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Apple Jacks, cookie dough, and mini marshmallows.
You can order up to two or three individual cereals with milk—appropriately served in a mylar bag and a shoe box—for $6 or $7. The cereal ice cream will set you back $5.50. Or you can opt for one of Fieg's many tricked-out specials. But, if Brooklyn is a bit out of your way, get inspired by this shop, for your own killer cereal creation is a only shopping trip away.
