You officially never have to get off the couch again: This week, Focus Brands, purveyor of Carvel, Cinnabon, and Auntie Anne's Pretzels, announced it would implement delivery service starting next week. Just in time for Pumpkin Spice Cinnabon Rolls.
Cinnabon and Carvel, like other brands who've rolled out delivery this summer—including Taco Bell, 7-Eleven, and even McDonald's—are teaming up with the California-based delivery app Postmates to bring the service to 34 locations in major cities all over the country. The lucky areas include New York; Dallas; Austin,TX; Los Angeles; San Francisco; and Portland, OR.
The best part: There's no minimum for delivery, so you can totally order that single cinnamon bun you're craving. But there is a catch to that: No matter the size of your order, an additional delivery fee from Postmates applies, starting at $5.
Though the announcement promises arrival in under an hour, we're wondering how far a swirled cone of Carvel—or one of its famous ice-cream cakes—is actually going to make it before turning into a sad pool of ice cream soup. And even if it does manage to keep cool, what does that mean for humanity? Will our future look like a scene from Wall-E?
