We're all about the freebies and extras when it comes to  food—so long as those little additions are not completely disgusting. A woman in Texas got just such an icky surprise, claiming she found a decayed tooth in a Lay's chip bag, according to a report on Houston's Mix 96.5. I guess someone was crunching a little too hard on the salty snack?

According to the radio station's report, Leigh Buquo was all ready for movie night with her bag of Lay's Cheddar Bacon Mac & Cheese potato chips, but after a few handfuls, she was in for quite the fright. And it wasn't from the movie.

Supposedly, Buquo bit into something she wasn't able to chew, which got caught in her throat. After she dislodged the item, she realized it was a decayed dental crown. "I was horrified, she told the station. "At first my daughter and I thought it may have been my tooth, but after thoroughly checking my mouth and seeing all my teeth still there, I realized the tooth came from the bag of chips! I felt sick."

Buquo immediately contacted Frito-Lay, who encouraged her to send the tooth in an envelope, though she has some reservations about parting with her only evidence of the event.

It's definitely gross, and seems like the kind of thing that would make a seriously bad Halloween prank . I'm wondering how the tooth got there in the first place, though. I mean, was someone actually chomping on the chips as they packed them?

Frito-Lay has yet to comment on the incident. We'll update the post as updates become available, but for now, munch with caution.
