We were slightly skeptical when the founders of Amy's Kitchen (known for their organic, frozen meals) announced they were opening the first organic, vegetarian drive-thru restaurant in the country in California. I mean, drive-thrus are for greasy burgers, salty fries, and fried chicken sandwiches, right? But the reviews are in and as it turns out, it's actually pretty damn good. Fast food we don't have to feel guilty about? This may just be the drive-thru of our dreams.

Not only does the menu look delish—with veggie burgers, burritos, burrito bowls, macaroni and cheese, pizza, salad, chili fries, and milkshakes, basically like a drive-thru version of a diner—it contains no GMOs, is peanut- and egg-free and any item can be made vegan and/or gluten-free. also of note, everything on the menu is prepared onsite. Kudos all around, Amy.

But how does the fare fair against the most important aspect of fast food dining: the price? You can nosh on a single patty burger for $2.99, a burrito for $4.69 or a Margarita pizza for $6.50. But how good can this fancy, healthy food be? According to Yelp, it looks like so far, the food is definitely living up to the all of the hype. On opening day, patrons stood in line for an hour to order the non-GMO, organic vegetarian specialities, and five-star Yelp reviews are already rolling in.

"Amy's Burger is reminiscent of a Big Mac but obviously 10000000000x better. Great burger for a veggie burger, and especially for a fast food veggie burger! Broccoli Mac and cheese—give me a lifetime supply, please. #moveoverWendy,"  Yelp user John C.

" I poured on the hot sauce and sighed with content as I devoured the [burger]. My friend was so full of envy (she ordered the salad ... I love salad but damned if I'm ordering that when I get to go to town vegan-style), she kept talking about it all day,"  Yelp user Joi B.

"I think they have started a fast food revolution. Shots fired! Go get some," said Yelp user Brian P.
