Free refills are always a welcome surprise (unless you're this women at Panera). So you can probably imagine our excitement when chatter about free refills at Target's Starbucks cafes began to resurface online recently.
According to a TikTok from @arjayreddy that dates back to last year, you can get a free refill at Target's Starbucks cafes, but there's a minor stipulation when it comes to getting the perk.
In his TikTok, @arjayreddy approaches the Starbucks cashier and says that he's just finished his grande iced caramel frappuccino and would like an iced coffee for free.
"Actually, I know that if I have the Starbucks app and shop around in the store, I can get free refills for hot or iced coffee, cold brew, or tea regardless of my original drink," he explains in the brief video, after receiving pushback from the cashier.
So, how accurate is @arjayreddy's TikTok on the free refill policy? Pretty darn accurate actually.
Yes, your Starbucks drink order gets you a free refill, but don't expect to get a second order of that Chestnut Praline Latte with an extra pump of caramel syrup. Instead, you'll need to stick to coffee (hot, iced, or cold brew) or tea. And most importantly, you'll need to be a Starbucks Rewards member to secure your refill.
If news of the free refills at Starbucks cafes already has you on cloud nine, prepare to have your mind blown. Not only is there a free refill policy in place at the cafes inside of Target, the policy exists at all Starbucks locations.
