As the year comes to a close, Grubhub has released its 2022 Delivered report, an annual breakdown of the ordering habits of its users. The report proves that over the past 12 months "comfort inspired what we ate," with diners leaning toward cozy favorites like cheese pizza, boneless wings, and even California rolls.
If you're a lover of foods that are melty, cheesy, and have ample fillings, you might not be terribly surprised to find that the burrito was the most ordered dish on Grubhub all year.
"2022 delivered the burrito in the no. 1 spot as diners stuck to the comfort that layered gooey goodness brought directly to hearts, bellies, and doorsteps. Jumping all the way from no. 8 last year, diners packed their burritos with everything from sausage and eggs to guac and sour cream more than 4 MILLION times," Grubhub shared.
There was also a bit of international flair on this year's Delivered report with the addition of pad Thai and chicken tikka masala. The full list of Top Dishes is as follows:

- Cheeseburger
- Cheese Pizza
- Pad Thai
- Chicken Quesadilla
- California Roll
- Fried Chicken Sandwich
- Caesar Salad
- Chicken Tikka Masala
- Boneless Wings
The 2022 Delivered report features a number of other categories, including Top Dessert Orders, Top Dipping Sauces, and Top Alcohol Orders.
Maybe it's because of all those burritos, but beer was at the #1 spot on the top alcohol orders list, followed by margaritas, hot sake, piña coladas, and white wine. As for the top dipping sauces, ketchup squeezed its way onto fries, burgers, and the #1 spot on Grubhub's list.
