With Thanksgiving grocery lists and holiday shopping hitting our wallets, Sam's Club has just made an announcement that's going to make a lot of folks very happy. The big box store just lowered the price of its popular hot dog combo, comprised of an all-beef frank and a drink, from $1.50 to $1.38.

The price cut now makes Sam's Club's hot dog combo cheaper than Costco's. Costco has famously kept its hot dog combo at $1.50 since the 1980s. Fortune reports that in addition to dipping below Costco on price, the Sam's Club combo is available to non-members as well.

"Frankly it can't be beat. Newer lower price. Same great hot dog & drink combo. And the free refills are still flowin'," reads a description on the Sam's Club website.

According to Food & Wine, the announcement was made earlier this week during parent company Walmart's earnings call. CEO Doug McMillon said that the price drop was made with the goal of "making the everyday shopping trip better."

If you love a good deal, but hot dogs aren't quite your thing, you're still in luck. The hot dog combo is just one of a handful of items on offer at the Sam's Club cafe. Hungry shoppers can also snack on pizza, Caesar salads, pretzels, brownie sundaes, yogurt parfaits, and more.
