Like many of us, Mindy Kaling was glued to her screen while watching the show The Bear. Taking her appreciation for the series a bit further, the former Office star was inspired to cook one of the recipes featured on the show.

If you tuned into the season finale, you likely remember the spaghetti dish lead character Carmen 'Carmy' Berzatto whipped up. That's exactly what Kaling attempted to make in her own kitchen.

"In the last episode, the lead of the show, Carmy, who’s kind of a tortured chef, makes this spaghetti recipe that his deceased brother loved," the actress said in an Instagram video. "It looks so freaking delicious, and so I thought I would make it and transport myself into the world of the Chicago food scene."

Kaling starts by sautéing a hearty amount of garlic in olive oil. From there, she continues to make her Bear-inspired sauce using fresh basil, San Marzano tomatoes, butter, and onions.

What were Kaling's thoughts on the final result? "You have to make this. It’s so delicious," she said. Check out her video, and then make your own version at home.

For those unfamiliar with The Bear, the show follows a young chef who takes over his family's sandwich shop in Chicago. Given that the first season ended weeks ago, you've got plenty of time to whip up your own version of Carmy's spaghetti while binge-watching all eight episodes.
