I consider myself something of a mac and cheese connoisseur. My mom always made the best (her secret ingredient is ranch mix), and I will crush a box of Kraft or Velveeta shells any day of the week.

So when I heard that Velveeta is releasing a duo of nail polish, I had to try it. The cheesy brand collabed with the British beauty company Nails.INC to create two different colors that represent the iconic cheese. The first is a creamy dark yellow that looks identical to their cheese called La Dolce Velveeta. The second is a bright, coral-y red named Finger Food.

Oh, I forgot to mention. THE NAIL POLISH SMELLS LIKE CHEESE.

You read that right. The nail polish is cheese-scented. I have to admit, I was skeptical. A nail polish that smells like cheese doesn't sound like something I would ever want or need.

Taking a sniff from the bottle, I got no hints or aromas of cheese. Just that strong acetone-y nail polish smell. But then I painted my nails in the yellow tone. First off, I love the nail polish. The color is vibrant and opaque and it dries very fast.

Then it was time for the moment of truth: the smell test. I took a hesitant sniff of my nails, which btw, is such a strange thing to do. There was a faint cheese smell. It's not in-your-face, but subtle. Dare I say classy, even. Like your bowl of Velveeta shells just finished cooking in the kitchen. So yes, the nail polish that smells like cheese is good overall.

The best part is that you can buy the cheese nail polish on Amazon and Nails.INC, but make it quick. The two colors, along with some cute, cheesy nail stickers, will only be available while supplies last.
