Pillsbury is making breakfast tastier and easier with its new Funfetti Mini Pancakes. Not only will you get a stack worth taking a picture of, but it’ll add a sweet element to your mornings. What more could you want?
The new breakfast offerings comes in two varieties: Original and Unicorn. The Original, which is in a blue box, and then Unicorn, in the pink, are both buttermilk pancakes made with candy bits. So you’ll see red, yellow, green, and blue pieces throughout each bite. Each box includes 40 frozen pancakes, so all you have to do is pop them into a microwave or conventional oven. Instagram account @i_need_a_snack spotted these in the freezer aisle at Kroger, so keep an eye out at your local grocery store.
The only thing we wish were different were the flavors. The Unicorn variety tastes just like the Original, just in a pink color. This was an opportunity to switch up the bite by making it a strawberry flavor, just like the Funfetti Cake & Cupcake Mix. Pssst, you can still make this right, Pillsbury.
We don’t want to sound lazy — actually, eh, we don’t care — but these Mini Pancakes are even more up our alley than the mix from Pillsbury. In 2019, the brand released a Buttermilk Pancake & Waffle Mix, followed by a Unicorn version in 2021. Some might say the premade versions are even better, especially on those busy mornings when whipping up a batch is just too much.
