The Impossible Whopper: We know it, we love it. It takes the classic Burger King burger situation—a flame-grilled patty topped with juicy tomatoes, fresh lettuce, creamy mayonnaise, ketchup, crunchy pickles, and sliced white onions on a soft sesame seed bun—and swaps in a plant-based patty so meaty and delicious, you can barely detect the difference.

Now, vegans, vegetarians, and anyone watching their meat intake can rejoice again! Burger King is extending its line of Impossible selections with a plant-based nugget, and they are the first fast food chain to do it. It's not a permanent part of the menu yet: Select locations in Des Moines, IA, Boston, MA and Miami, FL will get the first taste of the Impossible Nuggets starting on October 11. Each order comes with eight pieces with your choice of dipping sauce. Think crispy breading and a juicy and tender interior dunked in honey mustard or sweet and sour sauce... only without the chicken, of course.

Considering the massive success of the plant-based Whopper, we can only hope these nuggets will soon be out of the test phase and onto Burger King menus nationwide very soon.

If you’re disappointed because you aren’t close to any of those cities, don’t worry. BK has something else new coming nationwide for a limited time: Ghost Pepper Chicken Nuggets. These might not be plant-based, but they sure pack a punch, as they're made with wildly spicy ghost peppers. The hot nugs are available to everyone starting October 11, but Royal Perk members have exclusive access starting today.
