If you ever wondered what superheroes eat to keep themselves in shape, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is giving you the opportunity to find out. And trust me, it actually sounds a lot better than you think.
Taking to his Instagram account on Monday, March 15, the talented actor gave fans a peek at his current breakfast diet as he prepares for the upcoming film Black Adam: "Aloha, my friends š¤š¾ š Hereās my Saturday breakfast as we dial it in...One month away from shooting #blackadamā”ļø so the diet is very strict and all food is weighed & measured so my conditioning can come in on point," he captioned the almost-three-minute clip.
From the beautiful island of Hawaii, the 48-year-old former wrestler told viewers that while preparing for the role in the movie consists of "strength, conditioning, character and story study," the most important factor of it all is the diet that he's implemented. Showcasing a plate that includes a combo of whole eggs and egg whites, beef tenderloin (that he made himself!), and gluten-free Ezekiel muffins topped with a bit of Smart Balance butter, cinnamon, and liquid Stevia, the breakfast seems pretty simple and satisfying.
That wasn't all he had though. Off to the side, the actor had a bowl of oatmeal with blueberries, a bottle of powdered greens, and a sugar free wild orange can of ZOA Energy Drink. A guy's gotta eat, right?
To close out the quick video, he thanked all of his fans for the excitement for the Black Adam filmāwhich is a spinoff of 2019's Shazam! that's slated for a December 2021 releaseāand their patience with the delay due to COVID-19.
This isn't the first time that he's shared recipes or mentioned his food though. Just this past weekend, he filmed himself and his chef, Chef Puttie, making his infamous coconut banana pancakes. And, if you tried those, then I'm almost positive you'll want to replicate this breakfast meal, too.
