Fast food social media accounts have only gotten weirder over the last few years and there's no one doing in quite like Wendy's. The chain proclaimed a #NationalRoastDay on Twitter yesterday that lead to some unhinged yet hilarious posts and brands and fans got in on the fun—including Gordon Ramsay.

"Time for everybody’s favorite made up social media holiday. It’s #NationalRoastDay, like right now. Drop a 'Roast Me' below and feel the burn," the official Wendy's account tweeted out. Soon tons of fans volunteered to be publicly insulted by the account but it was the other food accounts and celebrities that really got owned.

Gordon Ramsay simply responded to the tweet with a gif of himself to which Wendy's quickly responded. "Creating a food empire off of insulting people to stay relevant? Real original, Gordon," the brand wrote. They really didn't hold back!!

Other stand-out roasts, if you will, included Wendy's telling the Sun-Maid raisin brand to "stop ruining cookies," calling Velveeta "not even verified cheese," and claiming Wheat-Thins are "stale flavored chips." It was all in good fun, of course, but is yet another reminder to not mess with the people over at Wendy's that run their social media accounts. They know what they're doing and aren't afraid to say how they really feel. A fast food brand after my own heart! Guess I have to eat some spicy nuggets this weekend in their honor.
