Cooking is fun and all but nothing beats the thrill of watching someone else cook while you yell at the TV and eat take-out on the couch. Pure bliss! And arguably one of the best shows to do that with, Top Chef, is returning back to Bravo soon and we just got a look at a trailer for the bonkers season.

Season 18 of the show is taking place in Portland, Oregon, and as always, Padma Lakshmi is set to host and Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons will judge. But this year, there'll also be a set of returning champions rotating into the guest judging spot for the first time, according to People Magazine. We also spotted some celebrity cameos including the cast of Portlandia, which is only appropriate.

The trailer for the season looks nothing short of intense, with contestants working to compete in challenges such as a Top Chef drive-in and the beloved "Restaurant Wars," where they are instructed to launch "a micro-restaurant concept with a cohesive seven-course tasting menu that rivals the best in the world." On top of the usual challenges, it looks like this season will also touch on the COVID-19 pandemic, with contestants speaking with Chef José Andrés and making food for hospital staff through World Central Kitchen.

"This could be one of the best collection of chefs we've had on the show in 18 seasons," Tom says in the trailer.

You can catch all of this and more when season 18 of the show premieres Thursday, April 1 at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo and you can watch the trailer above.
