Chrissy Teigen shared an emotional reflection on her pregnancy loss marking the month she expected her son Jack to be born.
In the post, which is certainly worth reading in full, Chrissy shared photos from when she and husband John Legend filmed the music video for his song Wild. Chrissy publicly announced her pregnancy via that video, and in her latest Instagram, she shared that she was 10 weeks along in her pregnancy when they filmed and that she was "out of [her] mind happy" at the time.
"I knew the video would take a bit to get together so thought it would be cute to share our news with the world through the ol classic hand on belly trick at the end," she wrote: "I could have never imagined what would happen over the next 10 weeks...not sure I’ll ever be able to watch that video again without sobbing but I hope he feels my tears and knows we miss him so."
She went on to share her regrets about not looking at Jack's face when they were in the hospital.
"I was so scared of seeing him in my nightmares that I forgot about seeing him in my dreams. I hurt every day from that remorse," she wrote.
She wrote that though she believed the "worst was over," she knows that "life and emotions aren’t on any sort of schedule." She concluded the post by thanking fans for their kindness and support.
"I firmly believe energy and healing travels through the night sky and I feel it, I promise I do. ❤️ and I love you jack. I miss you so so much," she wrote.
Chrissy has been remarkably open following her pregnancy loss last fall. She published an essay last October explaining why she feels it's important to put her journey around losing a child out there, especially for other parents who have experienced the same thing: "I beg you to please share your stories and to please be kind to those pouring their hearts out. Be kind in general, as some won't pour them out at all."
