Biscuits may seem like a fairly easy thing to get right but anyone who has tried to make them knows that they're actually very hard to master! If you need a reliable new recipe for your next brunch, look no further than Joanna Gaines. In fact, the finale episode of her new show Magnolia Table is entirely devoted to biscuits, which is how you know she's seriously passionate about them.
Though you'll have to head to discovery+ to get the full episode, Jo dropped a clip of the episode on the Magnolia Network YouTube channel, where she says it took her about six months to come up with her now-famous biscuit recipe, which also appears in her Magnolia Table cookbook. Despite the lengthy development process, one simple tweak seemed to set them apart: adding two eggs! "That was the day that all of the kids and Chip unanimously voted that this was going to be our biscuit recipe," she explains.
In the full episode, Jo shows audiences all the different ways they can serve up these biscuits, whether they're topped with Classic Gravy, plated along with a Butter Flight, made into a Farm Eggs Benedict, or even adapted into a Strawberry Shortcake with Homemade Whipped Cream.
"We cooked through some of my all-time favorite recipes and only a few dozen (or more) sticks of butter—but who’s counting?" Jo wrote in a post about the episode. The good news is, you can find photos and recipes for all of the dishes mentioned by going to the Magnolia Table website here. You can also buy her cookbook here.
