Gordon Ramsay is known for getting brutally honest online, but typically he keeps it to telling people on TikTok that their cooking sucks. But now, the celebrity chef is becoming a whole different kind of honest, revealing that his wife Tana has been suggesting the pair have their sixth child while England is in lockdown.
He recently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and told Jimmy that when news came down that the country would be entering a more than one-month lockdown due to surging COVID-19 cases, Tana suggested that, well, they make the most of their time stuck at home.
"Tana's asking for a sixth across the lockdown," he said, as previously pointed out by Insider: "Because literally, two hours ago, our prime minister has just announced we're locked down now until the freakin' 15th of February. So she said 'We have good news tomorrow night,' and I said 'What's what darling?' She said 'Well you're up late talking to Jimmy, tomorrow night we can go for number six.'"
Jimmy and Gordon shared a laugh as the host promised to "talk to her" about her plans, saying "it's just not fair." Despite having five kids already, Gordon pointed out that none so far have gotten into the "family business" of TV cooking (though his daughter Holly did cook on TikTok only to be roasted by her dad!), and that his son Oscar, 21 months, is his "last hope."
"Everyone's left the nest and nobody wants to cook," he said, later pointing out, "I think they've been watching too many reruns of Kitchen Nightmares thinking 'F*ck that, that's not my career!'"
