As many of us can agree, 2020 probably didn't top your list of "overall best years." Though news like Frito-Lay's customizable variety pack and Waffle House's new beer helped make the year a bit more cheerful, as a whole, the year required us to do a lot of all-day drinking (hello, huge bottles of prosecco!) and not feel sorry for it.

While everyone may have their own interpretation of last year, the general consensus of the year is exactly the inspiration Burger King Brazil used to create their 2020 burger. And yes, it's as horribly gross as you think.

After surveying customers about their feelings on the year, the burger chain took to their YouTube channel to reveal a burger that was inspired by the answers. "We asked the internet what the 2020 retrospective would look like in a sandwich...well, the result is there," it reads on the Burger King Brazil YouTube page.

The sandwich—which the brand had unsuspecting customers try in the video—was made with overcooked noodles, sardines, a chicken foot, thick caramel sauce, and Jell-O. If that wasn't enough to make your stomach turn, the sandwich (if we can even call it that) was served up on a burnt bun. Talk about adding insult to injury.

Luckily, the famous fast-food chain doesn't have any plans of serving this concoction on its menus. "This product will definitely not be marketed in Burger King restaurants," the YouTube states. "Unless 2020 doesn't end in December, which would actually be worse than any sandwich."

Thankfully, we're safely into 2021, so there won't be any weird burger surprises heading to their menu anytime soon. What you can expect if you stop by a Burger King now though, is the new value menu that is filled with a number of items for only $1 each. And honestly, that's a pretty decent way to start the new year, if you ask me.
