Prue Leith, a judge on The Great British Baking Show, posted a photo of herself getting a dose of the COVID-19 vaccine this week shortly after the roll-out began in the U.K.
In the photo, Prue, 80, can be seen sitting in a medical office, seemingly right in the middle of receiving her vaccination. In the caption of the photo, she seemed to call out vaccine skeptics and naysayers by writing "Who wouldn't want immunity from Covid-19 with a painless jab??" She was also filmed by SkyNews getting the injection and she couldn't even believe that it was already done.
"God, I didn't even feel it," she said.
Some of her Great British Baking Show family hopped into the comments on her Instagram to praise her and send her some love: "Always the most classy glamorous person in the room x love you Prue x," wrote co-host Noel Fielding. "Well done Prue x," wrote her fellow judge Paul Hollywood. "Thank goodness the end of all this may be peeking over the horizon," wrote Rowan Williams, who competed on this past season the show. "Yes!! You just look as gorgeous in the tent as when you are taking your jab!!" wrote Rahul Mandal, who won the show in 2018.
The U.K. began distributing Pfizer's vaccine last week, and frontline workers and people over 80 will get the vaccine first; the rest of the public will follow, according to CNBC.
