If you go to Disney and only try sweets, you're totally missing out. OK, I wouldn't call filling up on Dole Whips and churro bites missing out exactly, but you are skipping some of Disney's most iconic foods. But never fear: Even if you don't have a trip to the parks planned any time soon, Disney shared the recipe for one of its most popular and fanciest meals.
Beef Bourguignon, also known as bœuf bourguignon, has been offered in some form throughout the years at the Chefs de France in Epcot, as well as the France Pavillion during the Epcot Food and Wine Festival, according to Disney Food Blog. This year, however, the dish has made its debut at the Yukon Holiday Kitchen located at the Canada pavilion during the Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. This version of the dish has found an even bigger following, with people clamoring to make it at home after getting a taste at the parks.
The meal features "fork-tender beef brisket with savory flavors of bacon-infused wine sauce over crushed buttery red potatoes," according to Disney, and with a description like that, how could you not fall head over heels for it? Though it sounds super fancy, the recipe is actually pretty straightforward and features many ingredients you probably already pick up on a typical grocery run, such as onions, mushrooms, butter, and bacon. Add in some upscale ingredients like sherry vinegar and red wine and you've got yourself the perfect winter date night meal.
Head over to Disney's blog to get the full recipe and don't forget to pair the dish with some holiday tunes and even a cozy fireplace...even if just comes from your TV screen.
