If you're lucky enough to own a KitchenAid stand mixer, it's probably become a lifestyle for you. Whether you're totally obsessed with the tilt-heads over the bowl-lifts or you swear by the professional-quality ones, there is a mixer out there for you. And while I love a bit of shop talk in the kitchen, what I really care about is your preferences on stand mixer colors!!!

It turns out KitchenAid is passionate about this as well, which is why they released this "heat map" of the most popular KitchenAid stand mixer colors across the U.S. They collected answers from a OnePoll survey with a sample of 5,000 Americans (100 per state) in mid October. The survey found some pretty surprising results...and that the whole country apparently has great taste in kitchen appliances.

KitchenAid found that its Blue Velvet color was the most popular, as 18 states marked it as their favorite. Aqua Sky and Kyoto Glow were second and third, with the latter being the brand’s 2020 color of the year. How very trendy! Some states couldn't choose, however, with Kyoto Glow and Blue Velvet being tied for most popular color in Maryland, while Nebraska was split between Blue Velvet and Copper Pearl.

As for what people liked to make for the holidays in their stand mixers, KitchenAid found that the most popular dessert was apple pie, followed by pumpkin pie, baklava, chocolate chip cookies, and blondies. Sounds like my perfect dessert plate, TBH! Take a look at the whole heat map above and maybe do a little window shopping while you're at it.
