What's the point of watching football if there are no dips involved? Wings, pizza, and dips are all necessities when it comes to game day, and Herr's makes a line of football watching chips that includes a seven layer dip chip. And, yes, it tastes exactly like the classic side dish.
Seven layer dip is most often served with a side of chips rather than as the chips so this Herr's flavor is nothing short of mind-blowing. The dip is easily put together with layers of refried beans, guacamole, sour cream, salsa, cheese, lettuce, and tomato, and now all of those flavors are promised to me packed into each Herr's cheese curl.
@Junkfoodinthetrunk3 found a bag of these babies at their local Food Lion, which is a regional grocery store mostly located in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern area of the United States. This might mean that these special Herr's flavors might be a little hard to come across (like their Dippin' Dots and funnel cake snack balls). Still, others in the comments of @Junkfoodinthetrunk3's post said they have found the seven layer dip chips as well as other snacks from the brand like the tailgate tacos flavor.
The game day packaging suggests that these snacks may only be around for the football season but could potentially come back next year as well. Since they seem to be a rare grocery store find, if you happen to come across the seven layer cheese curls during your next shopping trip, there's no harm in picking up a bag—or five.
